What we do
We are an agency providing individualized supports to adults with disabilities as well as seniors. Our services are provided in the home and community to promote full inclusion and continued community access and integration. We believe learning is a lifelong process. We support people so that they can live their best life. We do not “maintain” people. We help them keep moving forward!
Our mission
It is the mission of The Independence Project to assist individuals in gaining and sustaining the skills needed to live, work, and fully participate in the activities their community has to offer to support a quality of life they find fulfilling.
We promote full inclusion, individual choice, and the recognition that every individual has the capability of adding value to our society.
It is our responsibility to empower individuals to be active participants in the service delivery process through education, example, assistance and shared experiences.Our mission is to assist individuals in gaining and sustaining the skills needed to live, work, and play in the communities in which they reside.
